Laser Diodes (Spectra Physics, LASOS, Power Technology)

Diode Laser Bars

These diode laser bars have been designed and rigorously tested to ensure that they provide highly reliable power over tens of thousands of hours. They are available in a wide range of wavelengths (780 – 980nm). They are an excellent choice for direct diode material processing applications such as industrial soldering, cutting, and welding, as well as aesthetic applications such as laser hair-removal and skin surfacing. They are also applicable for pumping higher power solid state laser systems used in metal marking, semiconductor and research applications.

Diode Laser Systems

The use of diode lasers in various industries has caused a significant progress in both scientific research and industrial developments. Main reasons for this are the low costs and easy handling of diode lasers. Some of these systems include quantum cascade laser systems and tunable diode laser systems. Applications include spectroscopy, metrology and so on.

Specialized Diodes

Diode lasers started with the use of Fabry Perot laser diodes. Due to the lack of single mode emission and tenability, other forms such as the DFB, DFB, DBR, broad area, and tapered amplifier laser diode systems were developed. These diodes come in available wavelength range from 375nm up to 2330nm.

Low Power Lasers (Power Technology, LASOS)

Low Power CW DPSS & Direct Diode Lasers

We offers the widest range of CW DPSS lasers (473nm, 488nm, 532nm, 561nm and 1064nm). With the combination of direct diode lasers, the wavelength effective extends to 375nm, 405nm, 440nm, 635nm and 735nm. The output power range is 10-800mW, with option of SLM mode for certain models. The main applications are flow cytometry, DNA sequencing, micro-array readers, confocal microscopy, laser induced fluorescence and interferometry.

Fiber Coupled Modules

Fiber Laser Module is a single wavelength DFB fiber laser sub-system with integrated pump laser and thermal control ensuring a stable fixed wavelength and overall improved performance. Power levels are available up to 200 mW. All laser modules are guaranteed for long lifetime and superior power stability at low amplitude noise.

High Peak Power Tunable Ultrafast Oscillator

Tsunami series ultrafast Ti:Sa oscillators provide the widest commercially available pulse width coverage of <35fs to 100ps, average output power >2W and broadband optics for 700-1080nm tuning range. Accessories include Lok-to-Clock synchronization, harmonics generators, OPOs, regenerative amplifiers, OPAs and more.

High Peak Power DeepSee Ti-Sapphire Laser

Hands-free new MaiTai DeepSee laser source is an ideal for multiphoton microscopy. Based on integrated dispersion compensation, new performance standards for shortest possible pulses can generate the most possible fluorescence signals to even deeper sample penetration depths. The MaiTai DeepSee provides >300nm (690-1020nm) in useable tuning range with >2.5W of average power.

Opal Femtosecond OPO

Opal fs OPO extends the ease and convenience of the ultrafast oscillators into the IR wavelength range. Entirely solid state, Opal uses a nonlinear optical crystal (LBO) to generate signal and idler outputs with total wavelength coverage from 1.1 to 2.26um with pulse widths below 130fs.

Spitfire Ace Ultrafast Ti:Sapphire Amplifier

The Spectra-Physics Spitfire® Ace™ is Newport-Spectra-Physcis flagship amplifier product. It is the most technically advanced Ti:Sapphire regenerative amplifier commercially available. Equipped with the proprietary XPert™ technology, the Spitfire Ace amplifier sets a new standard for long term performance, low noise, and day-to-day reproducibility, resulting in stable OPA and harmonic outputs for the most demanding applications.

The Spitfire Ace amplifier builds upon our highly successful Spitfire platform. Every component has been carefully evaluated and selected to maximize stability. The revolutionary XP regenerative cavity has been upgraded to produce an industry leading average power of more than 5W at 1, 5 and 10 kHz with excellent (M2 <1.3) beam quality.

Solstice One-Box Ultrafast Amplifier

Ideal for both scientific and industrial applications, the Solstice uses industry-leading, field proven, robust technologies including the Mai Tai ®  ultrafast laser and the Empower ®  pump source. Based on the new Spitfire Pro XP technology, Solstice has an output average power of >2.5W at 1 or 5KHz and high contrast pulses of <100fs, high quality beam M2 <1.3 that is essential for the most demanding applications like OPA pumping, ultrafast multicolor pump-probe spectroscopy, ultrafast micro-machining on a wide variety of materials, nonlinear optics, time resolved spectroscopy and four wave mixing spectroscopy.

TOPAS Automated Ultrafast OPA

The TOPAS™ is a hand-off kilohertz ultrafast optical parametric amplifier (OPA). It broadens the wavelength coverage of the Spectra-Physics Spitfire ®  Pro amplifiers and provides gap free tunability from deep UV to mid-IR which allows tuning from 189 nm to 20 mm. Multiple TOPAS can be pumped by a single Spitfire Pro amplifier and WinTOPAS software is capable to control up to four TOPAS OPAs.

Ultrafast UV-to-IR OPA

The OPA-800C kilohertz optical parametric amplifier offers broad wavelength coverage of 300nm to 10um at high pulse energies. Pumping with Spitfire UF amplifier allows two OPAs to be pumped by a single amplifier, providing two highly stable, inherently synchronized outputs with independent wavelength control.

Helios Transient Absorption Spectroscopy System

Helios is a CCD-based pump-probe transient absorption spectrometer, used for monitoring extremely short-lived optically absorbing states. The experimental time window ranges from femtoseconds to nanoseconds. The system is designed to work with an amplified Ti: Sapphire femtosecond laser to produce the spectral and kinetic data required for investigating photoexcitation events on the sub-picosecond and longer timescale.

High Energy QS Nd:YAG / Tunable Lasers (Spectra Physics, Litron)

Compact Pulsed Lamp Pumped Nd:YAG Lasers

This is a compact, with water to air cooling unit, high energy lamp pumped Nd:YAG lasers suitable for both industrial and scientific applications. It provides all wavelength options (1064nm, 532nm, 355nm and 266nm) with a maximum output energy of 450mJ at up to 20Hz repetition rate.

High Energy Pulsed Lamp Pumped Nd:YAG Lasers

It is made for users that require a high energy and repetition rate lamp pumped Nd:YAG laser. The available energy can be up to 2500mJ with the possibility of further increment. Repetition rate can be as high as 100Hz. There are also options to improve the beam quality and point stability.

Double Cavity Pulsed Lamp Pumped Nd:YAG Lasers

Available in compact and high energy versions. It consists of two individually controlled laser heads. Both beams are combined into a same beam path and frequency. This mainly caters to the PIV Markey for flow measurements.

Pulsed Tunable Dye Laser

The dye laser series are pumped by Pulsed Lamp Pumped Nd:YAG lasers and are used in a very wide range of spectroscopy applications: LIF, Raman spectroscopy, combustion diagnostics, CARS, multiphoton spectroscopy, nonlinear materials, cavity ring down spectroscopy, MS & MALDI, photoelectron spectroscopy, LIDAR. Together with SHG and mixing options, they cover the spectral range from 200nm to 4um. Linewidth can be as low as 0.03cm -1 with a single set of gratings.

Pulsed Tunable OPO Lasers

This is an all-solid-state, high energy, optical parametric oscillator (OPO) pumped by THG (355nm) of a high energy ns pulsed Nd:YAG laser. With SHG and mixing options, it covers the spectral range of 200nm to 4um, at a linewidth 0.2-0.75cm -1. It is used in a wide range of spectroscopy applications.

Tunable CW Lasers (Spectra Physics)

Tunable CW Ti:sapphire Laser

The high performance, tunable, solid state IR laser model 3900S delivers CW output from 675 to 1100nm. Pumped with either an argon ion laser or 532nm diode pumped solid state laser, the 3900S solid state Ti:sapphire laser delivers up to 3.5 W of TEM∞ output power. Linewidth options are 40 / 15 / 1 GHz.

Tunable CW Extracavity SHG

The WaveTrain is the best choice for CW frequency doubling to the UV spectral range. It is suitable for single frequency ring lasers, extracavity diode lasers, argon ion lasers or CW green Nd:YAG lasers. Its conversion efficiency, due to its unique DeltaConcept resonator, is in the range of 8-12%, at about 40-65GHz or 0.03-0.08nm tuning range. This extracavity SHG technique does not require any realignment of the fundamental laser.

Passively Stabilized Ti:Sa Ring Laser

Matisse TR passively stabilized Ti:sapphire ring laser is based on an INVAR plate for thermal stability and has all folding mirrors adjustable from the outside of the enclosed laser housing. It is built with extensive damping to isolate the ring cavity from laboratory acoustic and vibrational perturbations. The modular design allows future upgrade to active stabilization (<500kHz bandwidth) and EOM stabilized versions (<50kHz bandwidth). Depending on pump laser and optics, tuning range is 700-990nm at a standard bandwidth of 10MHz and output power of up to 1350mW.

High Power Pulsed DPSS (Spectra Physics, Power Technology)

We offers an innovative modular design range of industrial grade pulsed DPSS lasers. The sealed construction prevents dust related issues, thus resulting in highly durable and reliable lasers. The inter-changeable harmonics modules create additional flexibility for the ever changing market environment. The available output power can be up to 17W with a repetition rate of up to maximum 400kHz. Aircooled Argon, HeNe Lasers (LASOS, Spectra Physics)

Stabilized HeNe Lasers Our Frequency/Intensity Stable HeNe Laser uses a highly refined thermal compensation technique to provide an excellent balance of high output power and stability, low temperature sensitivity and reliability. An extremely versatile research and instrumentation tool, it can toggle instantly via front panel control between intensity and frequency stable modes. Applications for frequency stability include long path interferometry, metrology, holography, spectroscopy and frequency marking. For intensity stability, applications include surface texture characterization, velocimetry, scattering and polarization.

Aircooled Argon Ion Laser

Low power aircooled CW argon ion lasers are available up to 400mW at 514nm or 125mW at 488nm or as multiline version. They are used for cell sorting, DNA sequencing, confocal microscopy, hematology, Raman spectroscopy, graphics arts, high speed printing and wafer inspection.

Small Frame Argon Lasers

Small frame CW argon lasers are available at up to 10W VIS multiline and 1W UV multiline power, small frame krypton and mixed gas at up to 0.8W at 647nm (red) and 0.3W at 351nm (UV). They can also deliver balanced RGB (“white light”) up to 10W.hn

Large Frame Argon Lasers Large frame CW argon lasers deliver up to 25W VIS multiline and 7W UV multiline power, the respective krypton and mixed gas lasers up to 3W at 647nm (red) and 1.5W at 351nm (UV).

HeCd Lasers (Kimmon)

A continuous wave laser with wavelength options of 325nm, 442nm or both. At 325nm, we provide a range of output power from 1mW to 100mW. At 442nm, the output power ranges from 14mW to 180mW. Some examples of the applications are photoluminescence, Raman spectroscopy, holography, automatic defect detecting system and many more.

Fiber Lasers (Spectra Physics, Nufern, Calmar Laser, Koheras)

Fiber Lasers for Industrial Applications

Industrial fiber lasers are available in CW, modulated and pulsed with a choice of module format or a complete system. The output power ranges from a few watts to hundreds of watts, and these lasers can be applied to many industrial applications such as cutting, welding, micro-machining, materials processing, marking and printing. The advantages of fiber lasers are their superior beam quality, a greatly reduced footprint, and no maintenance. They are more efficient than Nd:YAG lasers with improved line speed and beam focus.

UV Lasers (Spectra Physics)

High Peak Power Pulsed UV Lasers

The active Q-switch allows variation of repetition rate of 1Hz to 5kHz at a constant energy level. With energy of up to 120uJ at 5ns, it is an ideal solution for bioinstrumentation and industrial applications that in the past relied on pulsed nitrogen gas lasers like Matrix Assisted Laser Deposition and Ionization (MALDI) and Laser Micro dissection (LMD).

Pico Second UV Lasers

These are rugged OEM air cooled lasers that utilize cutting edge locking technology to deliver up to 1W output power at 355nm. These Quasi-CW provide a high quality beam at a repetition rate of 80MHz and pulse width of < 12ps. These lasers bring solid state reliability and low cost to CW applications currently using water-cooled Ion lasers.

Pioneer Series PLD System

Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) is the smart approach to complex materials deposition. It deposits across a much larger dynamic pressure range than Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Reactive Co-Evaporation (RCE), sputtering or traditional Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). It requires less process development time than CVD, unlike PVD it does not depend on differences in vapor pressure and, particularly for oxide films, delivers a much higher deposition rate than sputtering. Relative to the other techniques it has a low cost of ownership.

We have a range of specialized complete systems that cover all deposition applications of interest. Laser Attenuator ModuleThe Laser Attenuator Module provides linearized control of laser energy.The attenuator may be adjusted from 0% to 100% with a shutter closure to ensure no residual energy at 0% output.  An internal calibration and linearization function simplifies setup and calibration. Attenuator modules can be connected together in a daisy chain providing independent control of energy in multiple wavelength systems.These Attenuator modules come in available wavelength range from 266nm up to 1064nm.
Motorized Aperture ModuleThe X-Y Theta Aperture Module is a motorized device designed to control laser beam size and shape for applications requiring precise patterning.Many applications demand a specific size and shape of the working laser beam. Our mo­torized slit apertures can provide a square beam that controls the X-axis, Y-axis, & Theta rotation, though circular apertures are also available. Standard X and Y ranges are from 0 to 2.5 mm with 90 degree theta rotation; however, larger slit sizes can be accommodated. All movements of our slit are completed in less than 1 second, providing slit solutions at production speeds.
