LaVision’s Camera Systems

CCD and ICCD cameras are the heart of the laser imaging systems offered by LaVision. Therefore, LaVision is continuously striving to offer the most appropriate cameras for our customer’s application. All camera systems include camera head, control units, multiport TTL-I/O interface, PC and high performance software DaVis for image acquisition, processing and analysis.
LaVision’s DaVis software allows complete camera function control, synchronization with other devices and peripheral device activation. All software functions are programmable via LaVision’s command language (CL). CL allows the automization of complete measurement sequences including data acquisition and processing up to final result presentation and peripheral device control. Application specific software modules are available.

High-speed imaging provides detailed insight into transient phenomena. LaVision offers a range of digital (ultra) high-speed cameras and light sources operating together under advanced synchronization concepts. High-speed imaging is under complete software control for device operation, image acquisition, processing and presentation.

Depending on the requirements for your specific application LaVision offers different PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) cameras. LaVision offers a range of scientific CCD and CMOS camera systems to guarantee optimal performance for any specific application. Options like fiber-optic input window, UV-sensitive coating or special timing units for synchronization as well as customized software are available on request. LaVision’s intensified CCD (ICCD) cameras find applications in low level light as well as gated, time-resolved detection in conjunction with e.g. pulsed lasers. Due to the short gating (shutter speeds down to below 80 ps) scattered and background light can be effectively reduced. A precise timing unit for control of hardware components is included in all ICCD camera systems. LaVision also offers dedicated and programmable synchronization/timing and delay units for this purpose.

LaVision offers a range of high-speed camera systems to match requirements in speed, performance, resolution and recording time to any specific application. Options like increased memory, special timing units for synchronization as well as customized software are available on request. Imaging of ultrafast phenomena in the nanosecond or picosecond regime is only possible with a very fast gateable intensifier module. Applications like fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM), FRET, LIDAR and multi-photon microscopy were enabled by fast gateable time-correlated imaging.
