The International Symposium on Modern Optics and Its Applications (ISMOA) is a meeting held by the Indonesian Optical Society (InOS). The 13th ISMOA or ISMOA 2021 is organized in collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Universitas Pelita Harapan, together with Bandung Institute of Technology and Sepuluh November Institute of Technology on 2-4 August 2021 in Tangerang, Indonesia. The theme of this symposium is “Photonics for Better Lives” which in conjunction to the International Day of Light 2021 will celebrate how light and light-based technologies play important roles in improving lives in many aspects, from energy, ICT, food, to health, especially in fighting the Covid-19.
Due to the pandemic, the ISMOA 2021 will be carried out virtually through video conference. Despite the travel restriction, this meeting, as all its previous meetings, is aimed at providing a forum of scientific communication and interactions among regional scientists and distinguished scientists working in the rapidly growing field of modern optics.
